Dr. Sarah Gibson specializes in the non-operative treatment of general musculoskeletal and sports medicine injuries. Originally from Canada, she attended medical school in Alabama, where she was elected into the Alpha-Omega-Alpha medical honor society, and then completed her intern year in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to Boston to finish her training at multiple Harvard Medical School affiliated programs. She treated patients of all ages during a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as a fellowship in Sports Medicine. She is also certified in performing EMG/NCV studies to better serve her patients.
Sarah has also blended her career in medicine with a career in journalism, with experiences that include serving as a member of the Kentucky Derby press box staff for over a decade, working for both ABC and NBC Sports at the Preakness and Belmont Stakes and CNN/Turner Network Sports at Wimbledon. Sarah enjoys an active lifestyle herself and is an avid equestrian and tennis player, and even hiked Mount Kilimanjaro with her father just before starting medical school. Although she is still honing her own golf skills and hopes to play more in Fort Lauderdale, her grandfather played in the PGA and was Canadian Seniors Golf Champion.
Additionally, Sarah has volunteered her time with multiple organizations in both Canada and the United States, including the United Way of Boston, Breast Cancer Action Kingston, and Camp Rap-A-Hope for children with cancer.
