Dr. Ayisha Livingstone is a new addition to the Meli Orthopedics. Dr. Livingstone has plans to establish a practice in Fort Lauderdale that focuses on the diagnosis and treatments on Orthopaedic injuries to the hand and upper extremity.
As a child of a military family, Dr. Livingstone was raised all over the United States and Europe. At the age of 18 she moved to Tampa, Florida to obtain her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Tampa. She then received her M.D degree from the University of Miami in 2003. After completing both her Internship and Residency at the University of Miami’s Orthopaedic program, she spent a year at the University of Pittsburgh for a dedicated Fellowship in the hand and upper extremity. In both Miami, and Pittsburgh, under the tutelage of dedicated and nationally-known Orthopaedic surgeons, Dr. Livingstone had an excellent and comprehensive education on all matters of Orthopaedic injuries. Her focus is on the recognition and management of ailments and injuries of the hand and upper extremity.
Dr. Livingstone has plans of becoming an active participant with in her community. As a former University of Miami graduate, she was active in Habitat for Humanity, the Florida Keys Health Fair, and the Ronald McDonald House.
